When attending a cocktail party or a formal event, it is common for guests to hold a glass of beverage and a small food plate. However, this often leads to an awkward moment when trying to engage in a formal introduction. Rendezvous aims to solve this problem by providing a stemware that allows guests to hold both a glass and a plate, while still having one hand free for social interactions.
The unique properties of Rendezvous stemware lie in its elegant design and practical functionality. The stemware is crafted with precision, making it suitable for formal events. The saucer can be used as a small food plate, allowing guests to enjoy their food and drink without the need for an additional plate. This design feature ensures that guests can comfortably hold their stemware and engage in delightful conversations.
Rendezvous stemware is made using a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. The use of crystal, with its 24 percent lead oxide content, sets it apart from ordinary glass. The stems are produced using a press machine, while the bowls are blown on the stems themselves, resulting in a finished stemware that is both elegant and durable.
Measuring at 65mm x 135mm, Rendezvous stemware is designed to be the perfect size for formal events. Its elegant aesthetic and practicality make it a standout choice for those looking to elevate their dining experience.
The Rendezvous stemware project was initiated in April 2013 in Champaign, Illinois, USA, and was completed in January 2014 in the same location. Throughout the design process, the challenge was to create a stemware that seamlessly combined elegance and practicality for formal events. The result is a stunning piece of stemware that enhances the overall experience of any formal gathering.
Rendezvous stemware has received recognition for its outstanding design. In 2014, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware, and Cookware Design category. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
